WWE Reportedly Has Plans For A New Version Of The Nation Of Domination Faction

There have been rumblings for a while that WWE is planning to have MVP lead a new stable on RAW, and it's now being reported that it will be a new version of the classic Nation of Domination. Check it out...

It's become apparent that "United States Champion" MVP is forming some sort of stable on RAW, and last night's episode saw newly crowned 24/7 Champion Shelton Benjamin join him and Bobby Lashley. Before that, WWE Hall of Famer Ron Simmons appeared in a backstage segment with MVP and Lashley in which he told that that "there's a better way."

As it turns out, the reason for that was to set the stage for a new version of the Nation of Domination.

Dave Meltzer broke the news on Wrestling Observer Radio earlier today, and explain that, "there was an idea. I don’t know if it was dropped [but] originally it was going to be on the show for a revamping of the Nation of Domination and Ron Simmons was going to be part of that angle, but they dropped that angle for this show. They may be building to it later [or] they may have dropped it completely. But they had brought him in for that angle so therefore, that’s why he was on television."

It's been said elsewhere online that an idea was pitched to do a cross between the Nation of Domination and the Beat Down Clan stable from IMPACT Wrestling (which both MVP and Lashley were part of).

We'll see how this one develops, but it's certainly heading somewhere that's undeniably intriguing.
