WWE Reportedly Not Planning WRESTLEMANIA Kickoff Match On "Night One" For Surprising Reason

WrestleMania usually features at least a couple of matches on the Kickoff show, but this year's Showcase of the Immortals reportedly won't have anything before the main show for a very surprising reason...

WrestleMania is always a long show, but also one that often lasts too long.

The fact that one or two matches often end up on the Kickoff show certainly doesn't help matters, but it sounds like "Night One" of the Showcase of the Immortals won't feature any bouts.

Why not?

Well, as WrestleVotes explains, "WWE may not feature a match on the WrestleMania kickoff show for night 1, as the 1st entrance back in front of fans is being looked at as a HUGE deal. Not decided at all, but definitely a conversation happening within creative."

This makes perfect sense, as whoever comes out first on WrestleMania "Night One" will receive a huge pop. This is the first time fans have been able to attend a WWE show for over a year, so those in attendance will be excited, loud, and ready for a good night. Wasting that on a C-List talent competing on the Kickoff show wouldn't be a smart move, so this rumour makes sense.

Who will kick off the Show of Shows? We'll have to wait and see on that front...
