WWE will reportedly hold this year's SummerSlam in Las Vegas, but unlike most of the company's non-NXT PPVs, this show will take place on a Saturday. That would certainly give it a big fight feel in the City of Sin, but that's obviously going to require a huge main event, right?
Well, with John Cena set to return to WWE on the July 16 episode of SmackDown, a new report from Mat Men Podcast claims there are plans for the leader of the Cenation in the main event of SummerSlam. They didn't reveal who he might face, but there's already speculation and rumours doing the rounds that it will be Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
Seeing as Cena's return is likely to be a brief one given his Hollywood commitments, it would make sense for him to do the honours for the Head of the Table.
"it is a very big show," the show's host said. "I know the main event. I think it’s a very big main event, especially by today’s WWE standards. It’s a match that we haven’t seen happen too often. I consider this a pretty big main event." Cena has already taken a loss to Reigns, but this version of the Big Dog is a lot different to the babyface that put Cena down for the 1-2-3.
