WWE Reportedly Plans On Pursuing Independent Talent Even More Aggressively Moving Forward

According to Dave Meltzer, WWE is now becoming increasingly aggressive when it comes to taking talent from rival companies. Apparently, this all boils down to the recent success found by shows like All In and the Ring of Honor/New Japan Pro Wrestling G1 event. After years of having zero competition, it appears as if WWE finally realises that there are others who are starting to nip at their heels.

Those shows doing so well is what resulted in WWE changing its mind and signing up Matt Riddle. Other
wrestlers they have their eye on include Fenix & Pentagon Jr., and Shane Strickland.

With ITV launching World of Sport, WWE has already signed up a lot of UK talent so this really doesn't come as a surprise and it will be interesting seeing just how many big names they attempt to sign up in the coming months. We know that Kenny Omega is currently on WWE's radar but you have to believe they're also looking at bringing Cody Rhodes back into the fold...will he say yes to them, though?
