It appears that Ben Carter is WWE bound.

Carter has been a hot topic since his match against Scorpio Sky on Late Night Dynamite and "The Prodigy of Pro Wrestling" has been sought by both AEW and WWE ever since. Current AEW Star Miro broke the news first during a livestream by stating that the young prospect had “gone to the dark side” after confirming that the company lost Ben Carter.

Miro’s statement was backed up by Dave Meltzer, who confirmed that Carter did sign with the WWE. According to the wrestling journalist, the new WWE star opted to sign with the promotion due to the pandemic having a great effect on the independent scene. There’s no word on whether AEW made an offer to Carter, though Fightful did report that the company was looking to lock him down to a permanent deal.

The rising star is expected to make his debut in NXT UK, though no date was given. Carter was a student of Seth Rollins’ Black and Brave Wrestling Academy. The signing has not been confirmed publicly by either WWE or Carter himself, though the 22-year-old did share a video about his dream to wrestle for WWE.
