On Monday night, RAW made its Netflix premiere and, following a highly successful show, the rumour mill is once again churning out some wild claims about WWE as the company readies itself for the Road to WrestleMania.
According to PW Insider, both CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins and Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley were originally planned for this April's Show of Shows. However, WWE instead decided to bring both bouts forward for RAW's Netflix debut.
One of the biggest surprises was the absence of "The Man" Becky Lynch on the show. Bodyslam.net originally reported that she was supposed to return after Ripley defeated Morgan for the Women's World Championship. However, The Undertaker's return supposedly led to those plans being scrapped.
Fightful Select has since challenged the report, arguing Lynch was never planned for RAW. While she has signed a new contract with WWE, it sounds like the company is waiting for the right moment.
Dave Meltzer has said that Penta was meant to debut on this week's episode of RAW but his debut was pulled at the last minute due to time constraints. It appears the original idea was for him to team with Rey Mysterio; now, he's going to face Chad Gable next Monday.
Big E, Joe Tessitore, and Wade Barrett have received praise backstage for the work they did on RAW's post-showm according to Insider. The site also reveals that Tiffany Stratton is viewed as a Superstar whose star is on the rise, a hint perhaps that a babyface turn is imminent for the new WWE Women's Champion.
Finally, there are rumblings online about Nikki Garcia, also known as Nikki Bella, making an in-ring return. She was in the crowd for RAW on Monday and also appeared during a red carpet event beforehand.
It appears she and WWE have put any past differences to one side and, when Bella was asked about a potential WWE return, she responded, "Will we ever see the Bella twins back? Good question. I just may be here looking at my competition soon, so stay tuned."
Bella's original WWE run lasted from 2007 to 2022; during that time, she won the WWE Divas Championship twice and, alongside her sister Brie, became the face of reality TV shows Total Divas and Total Bellas.
