WWE has been dropping hints about a Drew McIntyre heel turn for months now and it sounds like the former WWE Champion breaking bad is imminent.

We've recently seen Drew reject the notion of forgiving Jey Uso after what The Bloodline cost him, leading to tension between him and his fellow babyfaces. After an unsuccessful attempt to defeat Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at Crown Jewel, he was once again approached backstage by The Judgement Day's Rhea Ripley.

During Monday night's RAW, McIntyre arrived at the building and promptly left. Later, Adam Pearce confirmed that Survivor Series: WarGames will be headlined by The Judgement Day's Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh taking on Rollins, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, and Sami Zayn.

The expectation is that both teams will gain another member in the coming weeks and it looks like McIntyre will be siding with the bad guys.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is currently mulling over whether to add him to the match as part of The Judgement Day. Whether this means he'd also join that faction is hard to say, though it would definitely lead to a much-needed character refresh for the Scottish WWE Superstar.

We've previously heard WWE and McIntyre still haven't come to terms on a new deal and that, as well as money, he was seeking better creative. He's already getting that with Triple H calling the shots, and a heel turn could send him back to the top of the card (and, hopefully, back to winning championship gold).

Who would be the fifth member of the other side? Well, speculation is running rampant that it might be Kevin Owens, though that seems unlikely when he's now on SmackDown. Instead, the prevailing theory is that Randy Orton will make his long-awaited WWE return to help his old friend, the American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes.

If so, we'd expect The Viper to be a last-minute surprise addition to the match (he's also a far more likely candidate than a returning CM Punk).
