Preview & Predictions for WWE Saturday Night's Main Event 39:

On tap for today's event, John Cena obviously is not going to lose the Undisputed WWE Championship to R-Truth, but it seems as though WWE is dancing around calling it a non-title match. Why the title isn't being defended is beyond me, as Cena's obviously going to win anyway.

One title that is on the line, though, is Jey Uso defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Logan Paul. Despite how some people are nervous of a title change, too much is being set up with Uso against Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker, and he has the upcoming title defense against Gunther on the June 9th Monday Night Raw. Paul won't win the title here and defuse all of that, though I do think Uso's not holding the title for the whole summer.

Speaking of Breakker and Rollins, they'll be in tag team action against CM Punk and Sami Zayn. My b.s. detector is suspicious of Zayn eventually turning heel, but that might happen during or after Money in the Bank, more so than a turn here. I do think Rollins and Breakker will win and that will help lead to Zayn's frustrations, though.

Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre will settle their differences in a steel cage match. Priest lost at WrestleMania, so let's give him the win here. If McIntyre wins, that won't be the end of the world, though.

At the last minute, a Women's United States Championship match was added last night on SmackDown. Zelina Vega will defend against Chelsea Green. It'd be strange to swap the title back to the previous champion, so let's assume Vega retains.

Here are your results for WWE Saturday Night's Main Event 39:

  • Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker defeated CM Punk and Sami Zayn by pinfall due in part to some interference from Big Bronson Reed, who has joined the group.
  • Women's United States Championship Match: Zelina Vega (c) defeated Chelsea Green by pinfall to retain her title.
  • Singles Match: Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena defeated R-Truth by pinfall. R-Truth came out to Cena's music and tried to convince Cena to not use the title belt, but Cena won with a low blow, followed by an Attitude Adjustment, not at all convinced to turn back to the babyface side of things.
  • Steel Cage Match: Damian Priest defeated Drew McIntyre via escaping the cage.
  • Singles Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Jey Uso (c) retained over Logan Paul by pinfall. John Cena interfered in the match and attacked Uso. Cody Rhodes returned and fought with Cena and Paul. Rhodes then challenged Cena and Paul to a tag team match at Money in the Bank against himself and Uso.
