Last night's RAW opened with Seth Rollins bringing CM Punk and Drew McIntyre out to the ring to discuss his "referee's instructions" for their long-awaited match at SummerSlam this Saturday.
Rollins, taking great delight in having some power over his two foes, reminded them that if they touch, the match is off. Everyone involved exchanged heated words before Rollins made it clear that everything in the match will be at his discretion, including whether he chooses to disqualify either man.
As the segment came to a close, McIntyre taunted Punk with the bracelet that has his wife and dog's name on it. We'll be shocked if this bout doesn't headline the PLE given the anticipation and sheer amount of buzz surrounding it!
WWE also hyped up the World Heavyweight Championship match between Damian Priest and Gunther. After the former Intercontinental Champion delivered yet another insulting promo aimed at The Judgement Day member, they came to blows after the main event wrapped up.
RAW went off the air with the two men brawling, though there's still a lot of intrigue surrounding how the match will play out (there's definitely tension between Priest and Finn Balor, for example, and now does feel like the right time to pull the trigger on a world title reign for the Austrian).
WWE teased Rhea Ripley's match with Women's World Champion Liv Morgan with various promos, though the entire episode felt a tad underwhelming, likely because RAW aired on SYFY and WWE didn't want to waste any big angles on a smaller audience.
SummerSlam is definitely shaping up to be an exciting PLE, though, and we'll be bringing you a full preview soon.
