Tonight's episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown (airing January 10, 2025) emanates from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon!

On this post, you'll find live coverage of all the results that happen on this show, including all the match winners and any other highlights and interesting things that go down. Scroll down to the results section below, but in the meantime, here's your preview of what we have going into this episode.

This is the second 3-hour edition of this show after last week's 2025 debut, and there are a few noteworthy matches on the lineup to try to make this not seem like it is that much of a drop off from the Netflix debut of WWE Monday Night Raw.

Chelsea Green will have her first title defense as she puts her WWE Women's United States Championship on the line against the woman she beat to win that title at Saturday Night's Main Event, "Michin" Mia Yim. Yim is going into this the loser of their previous encounter, but the winner of their Dumpster Match from October 4, 2024. This is the rubber match to determine who walks out of this feud the overall winner.

The Men's WWE United States Championship is also on the line with Shinsuke Nakamura defending against the man he beat to win the title back at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024, LA Knight.

We'll also hear from the new WWE Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton after she won the title last week by cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase on Nia Jax, who had just retained the belt over WWE Women's Tag Team Champion Naomi.

We can expect some follow-up about Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, and Kevin Owens after that attack segment last week, along with more on the tag team division imploding over #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) attacking The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) a few weeks back, leading to them eventually beating The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Pretty Deadly have found themselves allies for DIY, covering for them by pointing the fingers at Legado del Fantasma's Los Garza, but after Apollo Crews uncovered their lies, they're now the shields for the tag team champions.

Here are your results for the January 10, 2025 edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!

  • The show opened with Paul Heyman announcing that Roman Reigns has declared himself for an entry spot in the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble match, intent to challenge and beat Cody Rhodes to win back the Undisputed WWE Championship. Kevin Owens interrupted from the crowd, badmouthing Rhodes for shaking hands with The Rock. The American Nightmare went into the crowd to brawl with Owens as Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga were about to pounce on Heyman until Jimmy Uso made the save, eventually backed up by Rhodes. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, security officials, and LA Knight booted Fatu and Tonga out of the arena.
  • WWE Women's United States Championship Match: Chelsea Green (c) with Piper Niven defeated Michin by pinfall while holding her tights. After the match, Niven jumped Michin and laid her out.
  • Earlier today, several tag teams approached Nick Aldis about the tag title scene, ultimately resulting in some matches to help determine who might be the most worthy team to be No. 1 contenders.
  • Los Garza (Angel and Berto) defeated Pretty Deadly by pinfall
  • WWE United States Championship Match: Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs LA Knight was a no-contest or a disqualification victory for Knight (it wasn't announced) ended with interference from Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga, throwing the match out. Jimmy Uso and Cody Rhodes once again came down to the ring to fight with them. Rhodes grabbed a mic after the brawl to request a tag team match, which Aldis granted.
  • Motor City Machine Guns defeated A-Town Down Under (Grayson Waller and Austin Theory) by pinfall.
  • Backstage, Pretty Deadly were upset with DIY for not helping them out. Gargano and Ciampa still played it up that they're all friends, but obviously are dangling the carrot of a title shot and have no intentions to pay them back. Apollo Crews came over to wince at the situation.
  • Tiffany Stratton spoke about her title win. Nia Jax came out, followed by Bayley, then the women's tag team champions Bianca Belair and Naomi, all pleading their cases for how they should be the next in line for a title match. After a brawl, Nick Aldis made an impromptu No. 1 contender's match, which Bayley won by pinning Naomi.
  • Backstage, Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes talked about how Cody knew Roman Reigns coming for the title was inevitable and he's okay with him. Carmelo Hayes came over and got into it with Jimmy, calling him the wrong name. Jimmy made fun of Melo's catchphrase.
  • Bayley was told that her title match will happen next week on SmackDown, who said that Stratton has never beaten her.
  • Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga defeated Cody Rhodes and Jimmy Uso by pinfall (Fatu on Uso) as Cody was busy fighting it out with Kevin Owens, eventually crashing through a table on the outside.
