This year's SummerSlam hails from the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Ohio later today and, with this being a much bigger event than other recent PLEs, there will be seven matches on the card rather than the five we've grown used to on Triple H's watch.
Before we get to those, remember that you'll be able to watch SummerSlam on Peacock in the U.S. and the WWE Network internationally (starting next January, fans outside the U.S. will have access to every live PLE on Netflix). The event begins at 8pm ET.
Here's the full match card for SummerSlam 2024:
Special Guest Referee (Seth Rollins) Match
CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre
Undisputed WWE Championship Match - Bloodline Rules
Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa
World Heavyweight Championship Match
Damian Priest vs. Gunther
WWE Women's Championship Match
Bayley vs. Nia Jax
Women's World Championship Match
Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley
United States Championship Match
Logan Paul vs. LA Knight
Intercontinental Championship Match
Sami Zayn vs. Bron Breakker
It's a great lineup, though one recurring issue during Triple H's run as head of creative in WWE is that both sets of tag team titles are once again neglected (during last night's SmackDown, The Bloodline defeated DIY to win the belts).
During a recent interview with The Ringer, Gunther revealed what it would mean to him to win the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam.
"Well, if I win it, it’s going to be the greatest accomplishment of my career," he proclaimed. "It means that’s what it says, the ‘world’s heavyweight champion.’ I think that’s the highest prize, the greatest prize that there is to achieve or to win."
"We all do [this] to become a champion eventually one day and be on top and represent the company and be the face of a brand and be the face of professional wrestling to a certain degree. And that’s a big responsibility but also [a] big privilege. But that’s all secondary now, because I have a match on Saturday against Damian Priest, and that’s where my focus is."
