Asuka is the longest reigning NXT Women's Champion of all-time at 510 days and while her undefeated streak may be storyline based, there's no denying that she's incredibly gifted in the ring.

She made her main roster debut a few weeks back at the TLC PPV when she defeated Emma and while it's still too soon to say what the future might hold in store for her, Pro Wrestling Illustrated has decided to name her the best female wrestler in the world today. That means she's beaten the likes of Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks but the order of those picked for #2 - #10 may rile some.

1. Asuka
2. Charlotte Flair
3. Alexa Bliss
4. Sasha Banks
5. Bayley
6. Io Shirai
7. Natalya
8. Sienna
9. Naomi
10. Kairi Sane

There's a mix of WWE talent here alongside Mae Young Classic winner Kairi Sane, Shirai from Stardom in Japan and Sienna from Impact Wrestling. Is Alexa Bliss really a better wrestler than Becky Lynch, though? As we said, though, it's #2 - #10 which is the controversial part of this list; it's hard to imagine anyone arguing that Asuka isn't the best she is at what she does right now.
