Sunday night's WrestleMania kicked off with Seth Rollins defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre. Ultimately, the Scottish Psychopath managed to pick up the win with a well-placed Claymore, but his reign lasted only 5 minutes.
After an altercation with CM Punk at ringside, McIntyre was downed and Damian Priest finally decided the time was right to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase.
One South of Heaven chokeslam later, and The Judgement Day member was WWE's new World Heavyweight Champion. In the hours that followed, "Bisexual Undertaker" trended worldwide on X and it turns out the moniker is one which confuses Priest.
Talking before the Show of Shows, he told Wrestle Zone, "Rhea sends me all those. I don’t even know what it means! The big one that Rhea gets happy about is the group of fans that call me 'Baby Girl.' She thinks it's the funniest thing, and I’m like, 'What is that? Why?'"
"I don’t know about unusual," he said of the strangest things fans say to him in person. "To be fair, when fans meet us they’re already fans, so they’re gonna give us compliments. We always appreciate anything they say, but it’s usually a looks thing or a size thing."
It's been a big week for Priest because, fresh off his WrestleMania win, Priest signed with talent agent Paradigm for representation in all areas. According to Variety, "Paradigm will work to build his business across books, acting, marketing, unscripted and more."
Needless to say, we now expect to see the new champion make inroads into cracking the world of film and television. He'll have to do so between his WWE commitments, of course, but it's possible the company plans to start producing its own movies again following the Endeavor acquisition.
For what it's worth, Priest seems to be having fun with his unwanted "Bisexual Undertaker" moniker...
