WWE Superstar Matt Hardy Finally Owns The Rights To His #BROKEN Persona

It's been confirmed that Matt Hardy's legal battle with Anthem over the rights to the Broken Universe is now at an end. The dispute has been well documented for months now and while it was reported last year that some sort of settlement might have been reached (hence why he's now #Woken in WWE), it's now been confirmed that Matt and Jeff can use this gimmick wherever they choose.

As you can see below, Matt Tweeted out the following photo and message with Impact Wrestling President Ed Nordholm, a good sign that the battle between the two parties is finally at an end.

The reason Matt is Woken in WWE instead of Broken is because he wants to hold the rights to that gimmick if and when he and Jeff ultimately leave the company. If he were to be Broken in WWE, that would mean they own the rights and he'd be right back to square one. For now, it's still early days for his Woken persona and it's too soon to say whether or not it will fully resonate with fans.
