During an Instagram Live session yesterday evening, former WWE Woman's Champion Mickie James revealed that she's set to undergo surgery for a torn ACL. She was injured at a house show on Saturday in Waco, Texas during a match with Carmella.

The bout ended quickly when James realised she had been hurt and it was first reported that she might have suffered a knee injury earlier this week.

"I don’t know how long I’m gonna be out," she told fans after noting that she underwent an MRI this week in which it was determined that she'd suffered an ACL injury. "I don’t know when I’m gonna have to get surgery, but it’s gonna be awhile."

Unfortunately for James, she's not been used on WWE TV for quite some time so many fans may not realise she's gone. For now, it seems she's happy being part of WWE but there's definitely a lot more she could do on the independent scene as James' talents definitely aren't being fully utilised.
