When WWE Superstar Seth Rollins was spotted on the set of Marvel Studios' Captain America: Brave New World, it took fans no time at all to deduce that the pro wrestler had been cast as a member of the villainous Serpent Society.

Since then, we've heard he'll take on the role of Cobra, a classic comic book villain who has clashed with Steve Rogers on multiple occasions over the years. On the page, there have been a couple of Cobras, though we're guessing Rollins could be playing an amalgamation of the original, Klaus Voorhees, and his nephew Piet Voorhees.

The WWE World Heavyweight Champion will be a guest on tomorrow's episode of Last Meals with Mythical Chef Josh Scherer, and ahead of his match against Drew McIntyre at Crown Jewel this Saturday, Rollins has weighed in on his MCU debut.

"Nope, can't do that! Can't tell you nothing about that," he responded with a smile when the host asked about his Captain America: Brave New World role. "It was a really good experience and I think it's going to be pretty cool. I think our audience is going to love it. I think their audience is going to love it, so it was a cool crossover to be able to jump into some totally different skin and try a new thing out for me."

"Hopefully everyone doesn't hate me," he said of the pressure which comes with playing a comic book supervillain. "I don't want to have ruined everybody's vision of this character, so I'm doing my best. I hope people enjoy it."

Rollins does have a handful of acting credits to his name, but Captain America: Brave New World is easily his biggest project to date. Needless to say, working on the blockbuster proved to be quite a different experience from what he does in the ring each week.

"I'm not comfortable...like, look, I'm 38. I've only been doing wrestling for 20 years. Only, nonstop. That's it. I worked in like crappy restaurants and a carwash when I was in my early 20s, and that's it."

"Other than that all I've done is wrestling, so anytime I get out of my comfort zone I am nervous. I'm like I suck at this, I don't know what I'm doing, but I was in good hands and it was a really fun experience and I'm excited to see how it turns out."

The movie also stars Anthony Mackie, Harrison Ford, Danny Ramirez, Carl Lumbly, Tim Blake Nelson, Shira Haas, and Liv Tyler. Julius Onah directs from a screenplay by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson, though he's also believed to have taken a pass at it.

Captain America: Brave New World will be released in theaters on July 26, 2024. Recently, it's been reported that it could take Deadpool 3's place on May 3 due to work on that threequel being halted by the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.
