WWE Wants Stone Cold Steve Austin To Return At Next Year's WRESTLMANIA

WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin is unlikely to ever step back into the squared circle to wrestle a match, but it sounds like WWE has high hopes he'll play a large role in next year's WrestleMania...

We're very nearly on the Road to WrestleMania, and WWE is already looking ahead to next year's two-night Show of Shows. Ticket sales have reportedly been slow, with the company offering "Buy One Get One Free" offers months before the PPV takes place. However, in an apparent effort to drum up interest, the company is returning to one of its biggest names from the past.

As you can see below, there's interest on WWE's side in having Stone Cold Steve Austin return for WrestleMania. The show is taking place in Dallas, Texas (and he is, of course, the Texas Rattlesnake), but the WWE Hall of Famer sadly won't be stepping into the ring to compete.

"Talked to a few different source this weekend & heard the same thing, WWE is very interested in having Steve Austin as a part of WrestleMania this year in Dallas," WrestleVotes reveals. "Not in a wrestling role, but a meaningful part of the event outside of just appearing. Up to creative at this point."

It remains to be seen what that "meaningful" part is or whether Austin will agree. We last saw him on WWE television in March 2020 for the fan-less 3:16 Day in the WWE Performance Center.

Check back here for the latest as we have it.
