2K has announced that it will host a virtual press conference on Monday to unveil the new cover Superstar for WWE 2K19, the next instalment of the long-running franchise. Interestingly, the press release promises that the cover star will be revealing "groundbreaking news" about the title during a Q&A.

What that will
be remains to be seen but it's about time the franchise receive a makeover of sorts, so here's hoping that lives up to expectations as we've been left disappointed quite a few times before.

Cover selection for the WWE 2K franchise is a highly coveted honour, with past cover Superstars including Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, John Cena, Stone Cold Steve Austin, current WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and, most recently, current WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins.

Who will receive the spotlight remains to be seen but a female Superstar would be pretty groundbreaking and Ronda Rousey seems like a pretty safe bet. What do you guys think? Sound off below.
