Heading into this weekend, the wrestling world once again turns its eyes to the Show of Shows as WrestleMania returns to Las Vegas.

WWE's annual spectacle promises to deliver the kind of larger-than-life drama, breathtaking athleticism, and unforgettable moments that have defined the Showcase of the Immortals for over four decades.

From the defending champions looking to cement their legacies to rising stars hungry to etch their names alongside the all-time greats, WrestleMania 42 is primed to be a turning point in several key storylines. Will the Tribal Chief kick off a new iron grip on the WWE Universe, and can Oba Femi usurp Brock Lesnar as WWE's Beast?

Still, the Road to WrestleMania hasn't been the company's strongest effort, and excitement for the PLE is lower than in previous years. Ticket sales haven't been strong, though a big part of that can be blamed on high prices.

During last Friday's SmackDown, Pat McAfee announced that WWE was cutting the price of Saturday tickets by 25%. According to Dave Meltzer, the discount has moved around 1,265, bringing the total sold for Night 1 to 40,610.

Night 2 currently sits at 42,769, despite McAfee imploring fans not to bother attending that night during his appearance on the blue brand.

This is a stark contrast to WrestleMania 41's reported 58,538 on Saturday and 60,103 on Sunday. Next year's Show of Shows is scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia, though how likely that is with the U.S.'s ongoing conflict with Iran is currently unclear.

As a reminder, WrestleMania 42 will stream exclusively on the ESPN app this year, following WWE's move away from Peacock. Outside of the U.S., the event will be available on Netflix, and on all platforms, it has a start time of 6pm ET/3pm PT/11pm BST.
