Following WrestleMania, it looked like Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar were about to form a sure-to-be fan-favourite tag team. Unfortunately, The Beast showed his true colours and proceeded to lay waste to the American Nightmare.

That led to the two squaring off at Backlash in a match which saw Rhodes outsmart the former WWE Champion with a clever pin. That didn't sit well with Brock and, a few weeks later, he broke the babyface's arm on RAW

Despite that, they still went head-to-head at Night of Champions, though Rhodes only lost after passing out while locked in the Kimura armbar.

He clearly wants another shot at Lesnar, though, and Dave Meltzer has now revealed when the third match in this series will take place. As of now, they're 1-1, so this would be the rubber match which finally decides who the better man is.

"Got big news," he said on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio. "Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes is SummerSlam. SummerSlam, Ford Field. The match number three. I presume [Rhodes is] going to win too. He should win."

We'd have to agree with that assessment, and there's a good chance the match will be announced during tonight's RAW. What that means for Money in the Bank is hard to say, though we know Rhodes will be in the UK as part of the company's tour. With that in mind, he'll have to play a key role at the upcoming PLE.

There's a good chance Rhodes will end up competing in the Money in the Bank ladder match, and if Lesnar is willing to make the trip to England, then he may be the one who costs the American Nightmare the chance to get his hands on a briefcase.

Stay tuned for updates as we have them.
