Last night, a special WWE Backstage preview aired on Fox Sports 1 and it was there that Triple H announced the "blockbuster trade" WWE had been promising for the past few days. While there was some speculation that Universal Champion Seth Rollins might be traded with WWE Champion Brock Lesnar (so Rollins is on the same brand as The Fiend), that didn't happen.
Instead, The Game simply revealed that Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross are moving to Friday Night SmackDown. It doesn't appear as if they were even actually traded for anyone else!
Fans were baffled last week when they were drafted separately (despite being a team) and WWE has clearly decided that the blue brand's roster needs more female Superstars. As you might expect, the response to this has not been good and the show itself was a little odd, especially as there was a segment devoted to the Lana/Bobby Lashley romance.
That was described as one of Paul Heyman's "classic storylines" so this show is clearly going to try and find a balance between real-life and kayfabe. Triple H also addressed Bruce Pritchard's appointment and we'll have more details on that later.
