WWE has already announced a number of matches for Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, including Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles for the WWE Championship and a Universal Championship Triple Threat match featuring Roman Reigns defending his title against both Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman. However, it now appears as if WWE is tempering expectations in terms of ticket sales.
While the show was originally advertised for King Fahd International Stadium, which has a capacity of over 67,000 seats, it's now been moved to the King Saud University Stadium, which has a capacity of 25,000 seats. That's a pretty significant difference and while a reason for the change hasn't been revealed, WWE has probably realised that selling out more than one stadium a year is a bit much.
Then again, considering the fact that the government is responsible for selling the tickets, perhaps they just don't feel the need to give WWE such a huge platform for this show. We'll no doubt learn more soon but the company is still being paid a huge amount of money to host Crown Jewel in the country, so chances are they aren't too bothered. Are you guys looking forward to the PPV?
