During an appearance on The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling Podcast, former SmackDown Tag Team Champion Xavier Woods commented on the Achilles injury he suffered last October. That happened in a tag team match in Sydney, Australia, which saw him team up with Big E to square off with The Revival.

It was a freak accident, and could have ended The New Day member's career. Instead, it's believed that Woods will be out of action upwards of nine months, and he's now explained why he's not given fans a specific timeline for his WWE return.

"I will say I’m feeling alright and that’s all I will say," Woods teased. "I was really, really in a bad way mentally for like six weeks after the initial injury happened, I was depressed. It all came from the fear of not knowing if I would ever wrestle again. I was able to work through that with some really good friends like Kofi, E, Tyler Breeze and Rick Victor. I’m much better now, but no spoilers on a return date."

It's likely WWE will keep Woods' return a surprise, and it would be great if it were to coincide with when Kofi Kingston comes back a couple of months from now. In the meantime, Big E is getting a singles push that many fans are hoping will push him to superstardom.
