When the XFL was first launched, it was essentially billed as being football's version of WWE. Now, a new take is coming which will be a little less cartoonish and it definitely appears as if it will prioritise football over a sports entertainment version of the game.

Now, Commissioner Oliver Luck has revealed the logos and team names for each XFL team set to compete in the first season next year.

The team names are pretty inventive. Those are St. Louis BattleHawks, Tampa Bay Vipers, New York Guardians, Seattle Dragons, L.A. Wildcats, D.C. Defenders, Houston Roughnecks, and Dallas Renegades. We can expect the league to receive a lot of promotion through WWE and this is clearly a priortiy for WWE.
