Your New NXT Women's North American Champion Is...

Sol Ruca has captured her first title in WWE after winning the six-woman ladder match at WWE Stand & Deliver 2025 for the vacated NXT Women's North American Championship!

How We Got Here:

Heading into this event, the title was relinquished by its previous holder, Stephanie Vaquer, on April 1, 2025. She had won the title originally from Fallon Henley at WWE Vengeance Day on February 15th, but after also winning the NXT Women's Championship from Giulia, it was decided that she wouldn't be able to stay a double champion and would vacate this (despite how she had proven the previous week that she could defend both titles successfully even on the same evening).

As such, six women were put in qualifiers to determine who would be in this ladder match to crown the next champion. Sol Ruca had defeated Jazmyn Nyx to qualify, and was joined by the other five competitors of this match: Izzi Dame (who defeated Wren Sinclair), Kelani Jordan (who beat Roxanne Perez), Lola Vice (who beat Tatum Paxley), Thea Hail (who beat Karmen Petrovic), and Zaria (who beat Lash Legend)

Match Details:

Multiple times throughout the match, The Culling (Shawn Spears, Brooks Jensen and Niko Vance), who had come out to try to help Izzi Dame, were ringside to catch a falling Superstar who either jumped willingly or were thrown to the outside. Of course, as per usual ladder match structure, this was a lot of

Sol Ruca had a nice moment where she flipped herself upside down to try to get to the top of the ladder after duking it out with her tag team partner, Zaria. She followed it up with a Sol Snatcher on Dame, then managed to climb back up and snatch the title belt itself to win the championship.

Interestingly, Ruca is also the current WWE Speed Women's Champion, after having defeated Candice LeRae for that title a few days ago.

Personal Reactions & What Happens Next?:

Now is the time to lock down a champion for a longer time frame after Vaquer relinquished this title a mere 45 days after winning it. The previous two champions, Jordan and Henley, held it for 140 and 111 days respectively. In all likelihood, we'll see Ruca hold this for a few months for about the same length.

A feud with her tag team partner could be in the mix if they want to split her from Zaria. I wouldn't want that to happen too soon, though, as there are plenty others who can fight for this title in the meantime, including all the others in this match, as well as those in the Fatal 4-Way tag team elimination match from today's pre-show and some others moving up the hierarchy.

What do you think about Sol Ruca becoming the next NXT Women's North American champion? Who should be her first challenger, and who would you like to see eventually dethrone her and win the title next? Drop your reactions, predictions, and any other thoughts in the comments below!
