Zelina Vega Returns On SMACKDOWN; Will Compete In The MONEY IN THE BANK Ladder Match

Rumors have been swirling for a while now that recently released Superstar Zelina Vega, aka Thea Trinidad, was set to return to WWE, and she made her long-awaited (re)debut tonight on SmackDown...

Well, the rumors were true! After being released from WWE last year, Zelina Vega returned during tonight's episode of SmackDown.

Sonya Deville introduced the one-time manager of Andrade (who now has some pretty cool new entrance music) as the second blue brand competitor for the women's Money in the Bank ladder match, who then faced Liv Morgan in a singles bout. Vega actually ended up losing (what a great way to re-debut a wrestler), but looked good doing so and doesn't seem to be suffering from any ring-rust.

Vega, aka Thea Trinidad, was actually fired for going against the company's mandate that all talent must close their third-party online accounts. Vince McMahon reportedly felt he needed to make an example of the popular Superstar, but evidently saw sense and re-hired the talented performer earlier this year.

There are rumors doing the rounds that Vega's real-life husband Aleister Black might also be on his way back to the company, and given this development and the recent return of Samoa Joe to NXT, it certainly seems like a strong possibility.
