The AEW President himself has confirmed several exciting match-ups for Dynamite Wednesday.

On Wednesday, Shawn Spears will renew his rivalry with Cody Rhodes, as the two men will fight in the opening-round of the TNT Championship Tournament.

The former best friends are no strangers to one another, as Spears turned on the AEW Executive Vice President by clocking him in the head with a steel chair at Fyter Fest in June. Spears and Rhodes would finally go face-to-face after an intense build, with the former ROH World Champion scoring a pinfall victory over the wrestling veteran at All Out. The winner of the first-round match-up will move on to the semi-finals and fight either Sammy Guevara or Darby Allin.

Also, Lance Archer will be back in action; however, following last week’s dominance over Marko Stunt, who will dare step into the ring against the former IWGP United States Champion?

For the women’s division, Hikaru Shida will step into the ring against Britt Baker for the first time ever. Thus far, the 31-year-old has been racking up wins in hopes of finally getting her chance at the AEW Women’s Championship.

Shida suffered a minor setback when she failed to defeat Nyla Rose and Bea Priestley shortly after Revolution; however, the former RCW Women's Champion has remained undefeated since that loss. Britt Baker is no slouch in the ring herself, so it should be interesting to see how both women match up on Dynamite.

Khan also revealed that Chris Jericho will be on commentary with Tony Schiavone.
