The latest edition of AEW Dynamite for December 9, 2020 took place at Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida.

Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who might have missed it:

— AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) defeated The Hybrid2 (Angelico and Jack Evans) by pinfall. The Acclaimed tried to attack The Young Bucks, but SCU stopped them and ran them off.

— Sting told Cody Rhodes he's not in AEW for him, at least not right now, and pointed out Darby Allin in the stands. He's back in the jungle and back on TNT. Cody welcomes him back. Sting says the only thing for sure about Sting is that nothing's for sure, but he's officially signed with AEW and he plans on being here for a long time. The way he chooses to play is his business. He'll see him around.

— FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) defeated Varsity Blondes (Brian Pillman Jr and Griff Garrison) by pinfall.

— "Hangman" Adam Page was approached by Dark Order to team up next week.

— Dustin Rhodes defeated Preston Vance, aka "10" of Dark Order. After the match, Dark Order offered Rhodes a spot in the group as Number Seven (a reference to his short-lived WCW character). He declined, but they said the offer's still on the table.

— Shaquille O'Neal said he didn't mean any disrespect to the AEW roster. Brandi Rhodes threw some water on him and called him an overgrown asshole.

— The Inner Circle had their "ultimatum" segment to hash out their differences. Sammy Guevara and MJF reluctantly shook hands, but Guevara said he's going to quit if there's any more nonsense. Jake Hager and Wardlow blamed each other as the one who started staring at the other one.

— Eddie Kingston, The Butcher and The Blade defeated Lance Archer and Lucha Bros (Penta El Zero M and Rey Fenix) by pinfall.

— Nyla Rose and Jade Cargill attacked Red Velvet backstage.

— Abadon defeated Tesha Price by pinfall. Abadon continued to hurt Price after the match and Hikaru Shida came out to try to help, but Abadon was able to sit back up soon after Shida's kendo stick shot.

— Kenny Omega was interviewed by Tony Schiavone. Don Callis said their plan was something that took years of planning. Omega said they have much more planned, but Callis said they can't handle it.

— Dynamite Diamond Ring Match: MJF defeated Orange Cassidy by pinfall to retain the ring with some help from Miro and Kip Sabian, who fought with Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent) afterward.
