The latest edition of AEW Dynamite for May 27, 2020 took place at the Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida.

Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who might have missed it:

— The Young Bucks and Matt Hardy defeated Joey Janela and Private Party by pinfall. After the match, The Butcher and The Blade attacked The Young Bucks until Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, known as FTR (formerly Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, The Revival from WWE) made the save to help out Nick and Matt Jackson.

— Brian Cage defeated Lee Johnson by pinfall. After the match, Taz talked about how Jon Moxley is going to get his heart ripped out by Brian Cage at Fyter Fest.

— Dr. Britt Baker, in a wheelchair and accompanied by Tanea Brooks (formerly Rebel of Impact Wrestling) spoke about being a role model and how she'll be back in action for All Out on September 5.

— Hikaru Shida defeated Christi Jaynes by pinfall.

— Cody cut a promo on how he'll defend the TNT Championship ever week in an open challenge as long as he's champion.

— Kip Sabian and Jimmy Havoc (with Penelope Ford) defeated SoCal Uncensored (Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian) by pinfall to earn a title shot for the AEW World Tag Team Championship next week on Dynamite.

— MJF cut a promo on how he deserves a title shot and will win the battle royal.

— Jungle Boy won the battle royal to earn a shot at the AEW TNT Championship next week on Dynamite against Cody.

— The Inner Circle had a pep rally with cheerleaders (and Vickie Guerrero) where Sammy Guevara gave everyone gifts as trophies for doing well anyway. Jake Hager read a poem. Chris Jericho talked trash about Mike Tyson, who came out and a big brawl broke out with the locker room separating everyone.
