Saturday night's special episode of AEW Dynamite was headlined by AEW World Champion Kenny Omega putting his title on the line in a long-awaited match with Jungle Boy.
He earned the right to challenge Omega after winning the Casino Battle Royale at Double or Nothing, and with no one at ringside, this was his best opportunity to win AEW's grandest prize. Omega did dominate most of the match, as expected, but Jungle Boy certainly managed to get some good offense in.
Despite locking in the Snare Trap and coming somewhat close to victory, Omega managed to retain the title after hitting a Tiger Driver 98 and the One Winged Angel.
After the bell had rung, Christian Cage hit the ring to attack Omega, with Matt Hardy and The Young Buck soon making the presence felt as well to ensure Omega was left standing tall.
