Tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite (September 2, 2026) emanated from Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas and aired on TBS and HBO Max.

On tap for tonight's post-All In: London episode, AEW World Trios Champions Swerve Strickland and New Level defend against The Rascalz, while new AEW Women's World Champion Mercedes Mone holds a championship celebration.
Coming out of All In, where a lot of titles changed hands and the big moments pretty much never stopped, I have no idea how Tony Khan plans on cramming everything into this episode. Even when you factor in that Collision is being taped afterward, a lot is still going to have to be covered over those four hours. Not only do I anticipate getting some people involved in the Mercedes Mone celebration like Thekla, but we should probably hear more from Dr. Britt Baker about why she screwed over Maya World, Persephone will likely be in that segment as well, and we've got new women's tag team champions who should be celebrating, too.
On the men's side of things, obviously we're not going the whole episode without addressing Will Ospreay beating Kenny Omega in the main event, things like the tag team situation being addressed with Cope & Cage, MCMG, New Level, and The Young Bucks, the new international champion Kazuchika Okada, etc. As far as the trios match going on, there's absolutely no way The Rascalz win those titles and this is all a hot potato situation. They did that already with The Demand dropping the belts to Brodido and Hangman, who didn't hold them all that long. The New Level and Swerve Strickland aren't going to just follow suit and lose their titles a few days later.
If this were a WWE show, it would be packed with promos. AEW tends not to do that as much, but I do still think we could be rather promo-heavy on this edition.

- New AEW World Champion Will Ospreay opened the show reflecting on his victory over Kenny Omega at All In. Ospreay praised Omega as one of the best in the world and noted that their singles series now stands at two wins apiece, leaving the door open for another match if Omega wants one. Ospreay declared himself the new standard in AEW and said he plans to establish a branch of United Empire in the company. Ricochet and The Demand interrupted, with Ricochet demanding the first championship opportunity, before Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors joined the confrontation. HENARE, Francesco Akira and Callum Newman came out to back Ospreay, leading to a challenge for a match later in the night.
- AEW World Trios Championship Match: Swerve Strickland and New Level (Kofi and Austin Creed) (c) defeated The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier, Myron Reed and Zachary Wentz) by pinfall to retain the titles. The champions survived a strong run from The Rascalz before Strickland and New Level overwhelmed Xavier with a series of combination attacks. Kofi scored the deciding pinfall. The Young Bucks confronted New Level afterward and stared at the championship belts.
- The Young Bucks addressed their controversial loss to AEW World Tag Team Champions Adam Copeland and Christian Cage at All In, arguing that the champions had to cheat to beat them. FTR and Stokely Hathaway interrupted and made their own claim for another championship opportunity. Copeland and Cage eventually joined the confrontation, with Copeland proposing that the three teams settle the issue in a Three-Way TLC Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at All Out.
- United Empire discussed the numbers disadvantage they faced in the night's main event. Callum Newman revealed that he had found their fifth partner, bringing in Casino Gauntlet winner Andrade El Idolo to join Ospreay, Newman, HENARE and Francesco Akira.
- AEW TNT Championship Match: Darby Allin (c) defeated Mark Davis by pinfall to retain the title. Davis attacked Allin before the bell and brutalized him around the arena before the match officially began. Allin survived the punishment and eventually hit consecutive Coffin Drops to secure the victory. RPG Vice attacked Allin afterward until Steven Borden came to his aid. Josh Alexander then made his return and blindsided Borden, allowing the Don Callis Family to leave both men laid out.
- MJF addressed his failure to win the Casino Gauntlet at All In and blamed much of his recent frustration on Will Ospreay. Friedman argued that he has repeatedly been denied opportunities others would receive and vowed that revenge on Ospreay is coming at a time and place of his choosing.
- Megan Bayne defeated AEW Women's World Tag Team Champion Alex Windsor by pinfall. Lena Kross attempted to interfere with one of the tag team championship belts, leading Jamie Hayter to confront her at ringside. With the referee distracted, Bayne struck Windsor with the title belt and followed with the Mega Bomb for the victory. Bayne and Kross continued the attack afterward until Hayter drove them away.
- Chris Jericho dismissed his loss at All In by pointing out that Nick Wayne was the one who was pinned. Wayne interrupted and argued that he had already proven he could take Jericho out of a match despite being only 21 years old. The argument became physical, with Wayne eventually hitting Jericho with a low blow and leaving him down.
- AEW Women's World Champion Mercedes Mone held a championship celebration following her victory over Willow Nightingale at All In. Mone bragged about making history and becoming a world champion in four major promotions while showing off the broken nose she suffered against Nightingale. Thekla interrupted the celebration, toasted Mone's victory and made it clear she does not answer to "The CEO." Thekla finished by telling Mone to let her know when she is ready to give the AEW Women's World Championship back to her.
- Dr. Britt Baker and Persephone discussed their new alliance backstage. Baker said she would not return after two years away for anything less than a guarantee, while Persephone said they make each other stronger and credited herself with bringing Baker back. Persephone also announced she will defend the TBS Championship against VertVixen on Collision.
- AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match: Jon Moxley defeated AR Fox by pinfall. Fox pushed the champion and scored several near falls before Moxley caught him and finished the match with the Death Rider. The victory was announced as making Moxley AEW's all-time wins leader. Marina Shafir entered afterward and held up Moxley's Continental Championship.
- Don Callis met backstage with Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight following their setbacks at All In and told them to focus on the family's long-term plan. Callis booked Fletcher and Knight against Juice Robinson and Ace Austin for Collision. New AEW International Champion Kazuchika Okada then entered and repeatedly emphasized that they were still a "family," visibly irritating Fletcher.
- Ten-Man Tag Team Match: United Empire (Will Ospreay, Andrade El Idolo, Callum Newman, HENARE and Francesco Akira) defeated The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) and The Dogs (Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors) by pinfall. The match broke down into a chaotic series of dives and strikes before Andrade caught Connors with his spinning back elbow and Ospreay followed with the Hidden Blade for the victory.
- Another brawl erupted after the main event, with Gabe Kidd eventually dropping Ospreay with a low blow and preparing to attack him with a chair. The Death Riders arrived and Jon Moxley stopped Kidd from swinging the chair at Ospreay. Andrade tackled Kidd into the crowd, leaving Moxley standing over Ospreay and the AEW World Championship. Moxley picked up the belt and placed it on Ospreay's shoulder before the arena screen revealed that Will Ospreay will defend the AEW World Championship against Jon Moxley at AEW All Out. Moxley backed away with the Death Riders as Ospreay held the title overhead to close the show.
