Preview & Predictions for AEW Dynamite:
On tap for tonight's episode, it appears Tony Khan is in another one of his booking moods where he doesn't want to announce too much prior to the episode. As of 5pm, only two matches are advertised for this show, and there will likely be a mad rush to announce several more matches about an hour before it starts. [Note: Does this strategy help in any way with ratings? I doubt it, but he seems to prefer this.]
What has been announced, though, is another "throw a bunch of people together and call it an All Star 8-man tag" and a TBS Championship rematch of what we've seen for the past several weeks.
Mercedes Mone is defending her title against Alex Windsor, who has fought her numerous times and failed to win the belt. This is her first one-on-one opportunity for the title, so there's always a chance that's the difference-maker, but considering how Mercedes has nine championships, I doubt we'll see her drop one.
The All Star eight-man tag team match features The Young Bucks and two members of The Don Callis Family against the AEW world champion, Kenny Omega, and JetSpeed. These are always a flip a coin affair, as it can be used to set up something like Omega against Fletcher for the TNT title, establish a win for The Young Bucks to get back on track, or something for "Hangman" Adam Page to win to assert his dominance of the division. It all depends on the primary story coming out of this, which we don't know if we don't know the other things scheduled on the show that could conflict with it.
Here are your results for AEW Dynamite - September 3, 2025:
- Gabe Kidd and Darby Allin fought with each other. Hook came out to help, but during his entrance, The Opps also came out, running past him. Willow Nightingale joined the fight as well to fight with Marina Shafir. Allin eventually put Kidd into a bodybag and drove off, dragging him behind his car.
- AEW TBS Championship Match: Mercedes Moné (c) retained over Alex Windsor. After the match, Windsor offered a handshake, which Mone gave a middle finger to. They started to fight some more and Riho made her return to go after Mone.
- TBD - All Star 8-Man Tag Team Match: "Hangman" Adam Page, Kenny Omega, and JetSpeed ("The Jet" Kevin Knight & "Speedball" Mike Bailey) vs The Don Callis Family (Kyle Fletcher & Josh Alexander) and The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson)
