Preview & Predictions for AEW Dynamite Spring Breakthru:
On tap for tonight's episode, it's going to be a big night with multiple titles on the line, including the AEW World Championship. MJF retained the title over Kenny Omega this past Sunday at AEW Dynasty, which also saw Darby Allin defeat Andrade El Idolo to earn the right to challenge next for the title. I would be extremely surprised if Allin captured the belt here. MJF will retain through some sort of shenanigans, likely with The Don Callis Family helping out.
I also think it would be extremely surprising if Kevin Knight were to drop the AEW TNT Championship so quickly to Claudio Castagnoli, who was also in the Casino Gauntlet match to crown that vacated title. While yes, short title reigns do take place (such as The Dogs winning and losing the trios titles within 24 hours this past weekend), I don't think Knight's going to suffer that loss.
I can't say I'm as confident Willow Nightingale will keep the TBS Championship, though. While nothing from Kamille's first run with AEW speaks to any success, the fact that she came back and was put in this kind of position makes me think Tony Khan might want to give it a shot, if not just to capitalize on any popularity that might come about with American Gladiators airing soon and Kamille being "Hurricane" on that show. Plus, dropping the TBS title allows Nightingale to be a future contender for Thekla's AEW Women's World Championship, and with Toni Storm injured, it wouldn't surprise me if Willow is going to be positioned as a top contender for that belt almost immediately.
Here are your results for AEW Dynamite Spring Breakthru - April 15, 2026:
- The show opened with Renee Paquette trying to tell MJF about Darby Allin getting the title match tonight, because apparently, MJF didn't watch Allin beat Andrade El Idolo on Dynasty. MJF was refusing to have the title match and was told that if he doesn't go through with it in the main event, he'll be stripped of the title.
- Backstage at Dynasty, Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay had a heart to heart after their losses. Omega was ready to give up, but Ospreay convinced him otherwise.
- Tommaso Ciampa defeated Dezmond Xavier by pinfall. After the match, Ciampa cut a promo about how he's going for all the gold in AEW, so he's coming for the AEW world title as well, no matter who wins the match tonight.
- FTR cut a promo about beating Cope and Cage at Dynasty.
- AEW TNT Championship Match: Kevin Knight (c) retained over Claudio Castagnoli by pinfall. After the match, he cut a promo about how he also has his eyes on the world title match and it would be great to be a double champion.
- Chris Jericho was interviewed by Renee Paquette. The Demand interrupted, leading to a 3-on-1 attack on Jericho.
- Will Ospreay defeated Hechicero by pinfall. He was then beaten up by Mark Davis.
- Alex Windsor challenged Thekla to a title match for Collision.
- AEW TBS Championship Match: Willow Nightingale (c) defeated Kamille by pinfall.
- Sting gave Darby Allin a pep talk backstage about how it isn't "showtime", but his time.
- AEW World Championship Match: Darby Allin defeated MJF (c) by pinfall to win the title!
