Preview & Predictions for AEW Dynamite Grand Slam Mexico:
On tap for tonight's 2.5-hour Grand Slam Mexico episode, The Demand defends the AEW World Trios Championship against Hangman Page and Brodido; Kyle Fletcher defends the AEW International Championship against "Speedball" Mike Bailey; Will Ospreay faces Mark Davis in a Street Fight with no outside interference; Andrade, Komander and Tommaso Ciampa battle for the first entry in the All In Casino Gauntlet Match; Adam Copeland, Christian Cage and The Young Bucks face The Death Riders; Mistico, Chris Jericho and Darby Allin take on Kazuchika Okada, Kevin Knight and Hechicero; Willow Nightingale and The Brawling Birds battle Mercedes Mone and Divine Dominion; and Kris Statlander faces Persephone.
I don't anticipate any title changes going down here, but it's at least possible that "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly" trio beat The Demand. Speedball isn't beating Fletcher, though.
Will Ospreay definitely beats Mark Davis. Cope, Cage, and The Young Bucks will beat The Death Riders (it's just a question of whether Yuta or Garcia takes the pin). I'd assume Hechicero takes the pin for the other six-man tag to go to the babyfaces there, too, and let's make it a trifecta with Willow and The Brawling Birds beating The Divine Dominion and Mercedes Mone.
Statlander and Persephone is a 50/50 thing for me, but I think Persephone comes out on top there to offset her recent losses, and I'm torn between Andrade and Ciampa for the three-way but I'd expect Komander to eat the three-count.
Here are your results for AEW Grand Slam Mexico Dynamite - August 5, 2026:
- Eight-Man Tag Team Match: The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, PAC, Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia) defeated Adam Copeland, Christian Cage and The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) by pinfall. Moxley pinned Copeland with a schoolboy while holding his tights.
- Three-Way Match for the No. 1 Entry in the All In Casino Gauntlet Match: Andrade El Idolo defeated Komander and Tommaso Ciampa by pinfall. After the match, MJF returned and attacked Andrade with the Triple B and the Dynamite Diamond Ring. MJF complained about the situation where he lost the world title and vowed to earn the No. 2 entry for the Casino Gauntlet next week on Dynamite.
- Six-Woman Tag Team Match: Willow Nightingale and The Brawling Birds (Alex Windsor and Jamie Hayter) defeated Mercedes Mone and Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross) by pinfall. Nightingale pinned Mone.
- Singles Match for the AEW International Championship: Kyle Fletcher (c) defeated "Speedball" Mike Bailey by pinfall to retain the title. Fletcher finished Bailey with a brainbuster onto the top turnbuckle. Fletcher and Kazuchika Okada exchanged a stare-down on the entrance ramp after the match.
- Six-Man Tag Team Match: Mistico, Chris Jericho and Darby Allin defeated Kazuchika Okada, Kevin Knight and Hechicero by pinfall. Allin pinned Knight following the Coffin Drop while Jericho trapped Okada in the Walls of Jericho and Mistico applied La Mistica to Hechicero.
- Singles Match: Persephone defeated Kris Statlander by pinfall. Persephone struck Thunder Rosa with the Mexican National Women's Championship before Statlander accidentally took out the referee. Hikaru Shida then attacked Statlander with Persephone's CMLL title, allowing Persephone to win with a frog splash.
- AEW World Trios Championship Match: "Hangman" Adam Page and Brodido (Bandido and Brody King) defeated The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) (c) by pinfall to win the titles! Bandido pinned Liona with a 21-Plex following a Buckshot Lariat from Page.
- Street Fight with No Outside Interference: Will Ospreay defeated Mark Davis by pinfall. Ospreay wrapped barbed wire around Davis's head and connected with the Hidden Blade for the victory.
