AEW World Champion Hangman Page Promises To Ruin Samoa Joe's Life

The AEW World Champion was assaulted by a man who he once called a friend as Samoa Joe and The Opps left Hangman Page lying at WrestleDream.

Hangman Page is not a happy man.

The AEW World Champion beat Samoa Joe at WrestleDream Saturday. This was an opportunity given to Joe by Page, who felt that The Opps leader deserved a shot at the belt after helping him beat Jon Moxley at All In.

Coming in, Page and Joe were on rocky ground as the latter has admitted to some jealousy over Page holding that world title and promised to leave St. Louis, Missouri as a two-time AEW World Champion. But that didn’t happen.

Page tried to be a good sport and shake Joe’s hand, but the AEW star had sinister intentions in mind as he attacked the world champion. It only got worse when Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shitaba joined in on the beat down.

Why Joe why?

The former AEW World Champion has yet to explain his actions, but that doesn’t matter as Page is coming after Samoa Joe and he plans to ruin the AEW star’s life.

“Joe, have you lost your mind, hmm? Have you lost your mind? In, admittedly, the twilight years of your career I gave you the shot and you failed. You’re embarrassed. Have you lost your mind? I warned you, did I not? I warned you. Joe, when I find you, I am going to ruin your life.”

What will Joe say on his first appearance following WrestleDream? We'll find out on Wednesday. The Opps are currently scheduled to defend the AEW Trios Championship against The Hurt Syndicate. That won’t be an easy hill to climb. It’s unknown if Joe will talk before his match or after, but the former world champion’s explanation should be an interesting one.

The Opps vs. The Hurt Syndicate isn’t the only title match confirmed as Kazuchika Okada is also scheduled to defend the Unified title against the very man that pinned him last Saturday, Bandido. This came after Okada accidentally blasted Konosuke Takeshita with a rainmaker, which he seemed to get so much joy out of after hitting the move on his very own partner. Like Joe, the follow-up to this situation will certainly be an interesting one.
