The AEW World Champion will be in action.
For the first time since pulling off the “biggest screw job since Montreal”, AEW World Champion Kenny Omega will face Joey Janela. Originally, these two were set to fight in the first-round of the AEW World Title Eliminator; however, Janela was replaced due to COVID-19 pre-cautions. Will the “bad boy” embarrass the newly crown world champion by pulling off a huge upset?
In the biggest tag team match in AEW history, The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, MJF, Sammy Guevara, Santana, Ortiz, and Jake Hager) will fight together for the first time. Tension still remains within the group despite last week’s ultimatum; Can the big faction successfully work as a cohesive unit?
Also, former TNT Champion Cody Rhodes will be in singles action as the third-generation star will fight Angelico. Despite being a tag team competitor in AEW thus far, Angelico also made his mark as a singles competitor on the indie circuit, with the 33-year-old being a former wXw Shotgun and XZW Gen-X Champion.
All this and more is scheduled for tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Check out the advertised matches below:
