Preview & Predictions for AEW WrestleDream 2025:
On tap for tonight's event, "Hangman" Adam Page will defend the AEW Men's World Championship against Samoa Joe—a former world champion in his own right. This story has been about Joe saying Page never beat him, so Page wants to prove himself. Obviously, given Page's massive title win over Jon Moxley just a few months ago at All Out, I don't anticipate a title change here where Joe wins the belt back. The Samoan Submission Machine will put up a good fight, but Page will earn his respect in battle.
Kris Statlander will defend the AEW Women's World Championship against the woman she beat to capture the title, "Timeless" Toni Storm, who is upset over it (naturally) and doesn't know who she is without the title. I think this will follow the other match almost exactly in that Statlander will retain and her challenger will show some respect after the match.
I also anticipate no titles changing hands in the TNT Championship match as well as the AEW World Tag Team Championship match. Kyle Fletcher should hold the TNT title well into 2026 and Mark Briscoe is a perennial "almost" guy, while Brodido lost to Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada at Homecoming Title Tuesday, but Okada and Takeshita won't be able to get along for a second win.
Darby Allin and Jon Moxley will push each other to their limits in their I Quit match. Allin has a never-give-up attitude, but Moxley is one of the toughest guys in AEW. Since Allin lost the coffin match they had at the last event, I think this points in the direction of Mox coming up short in his quest to make Allin say "I quit" as that seems to be an almost impossible task, while Moxley has tapped out before. I'm expecting this will happen due to some kind of fire stunt.
Since money is on the line and it is fun to root against The Young Bucks, while Jurassic Express is so fresh as a reformed tag team, my bet is that Jack Perry and Luchasaurus beat Matt and NIck Jackson.
