All Elite Wrestling has announced plans to introduce Women's Tag Team Championships this summer.

A promo for what's been titled the Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament: The Deadly Draw aired during AEW Dynamite last night, confirming that 8 teams (16 wrestlers) would compete for the opportunity to be crowned the first ever AEW Women's Tag Team Champions.

We're not sure if the matches will take place over a certain number of weeks or if the tournament will be the focus of its own event, but we should find out more over the next few days. No teams have been officially confirmed, but since The Nightmare Sisters (Brandi Rhodes and The Bunny) are the currently the closest thing to a team in the women's division, we assume they'll be involved.

Check out the promo for yourselves below, and let us know what you think.
