Shawn Spears will be making his in-ring return to Dynamite this week.

The former WWE superstar competed in the first-round of the TNT Championship tournament against Cody Rhodes. Going in, Spears was in desperate need of the win as the Canada native has arguably fallen off the radar since his loss to the AEW Executive Vice President at All Out back in August.

Spears has been wrestling on Dark, searching for a new tag team partner; however, his efforts to find a partner have mostly failed thus far. Spears brought his A-game against the 34-year-old on Dynamite Wednesday, with the veteran even kicking out of two Cross Rhodes. However, Spears wasn’t able to get the job done and is now out of the running to become the first-ever TNT Champion. Will Shawn Spears bounce back from his devastating defeat last week? We’ll find out this Wednesday’s episode.

Thus far, Dynamite has a stacked show that features a No Holds Barred AEW World Heavyweight title match between Jon Moxley and Jake Hager, another first-round TNT Championship Tournament match between former IWGP United States Champion Lance Archer and former NWA National Champion Colt Cabana, and Britt Baker will also be in action.
