There was a lot of speculation that Brian Cage would turn out to be the mysterious ninth competitor in the Double or Nothing Casino Ladder Match, and sure enough, the former Impact Wrestling Champion made his official AEW debut at the PPV before going on to win the bout and secure a future AEW Championship opportunity.

The ladder match also featured Kip Sabian, Orange Cassidy, Darby Allin, Luchasaurus, Frankie Kazarian, Colt Cabana and Joe Janela (replacing the injured Rey Fenix). Allin was the favorite to win, but actually injured (kayfabe) his knee early on when he attempted a skateboard-assisted stomp from the top of the ladder.

Everyone came close to reaching the poker chip at various points in the bout, but all momentum was stopped as soon as Cage was introduced alongside Taz (who seems to be his manager).

The jacked-up destroyer imposed his will on all eight men, before climbing the ladder and claiming the chip. Shortly after, it was announced that Cage will get his shot at Jon Moxley at the upcoming Fyter Fest PPV. More details are expected to be revealed this coming Wednesday on Dynamite.
