Chris Jericho Asks "Broken" Matt Hardy - And VANGUARD-1 - To Join The Inner Circle On AEW DYNAMITE

Chris Jericho and Matt Hardy came face-to-face in the ring to close out AEW Dynamite, and the segment was every bit as strange and hilarious as you'd expect.

Before Hardy "teleported" down from the rafters, Jericho addressed VANGUARD-1 and asked him to join The Inner Circle. When the drone flew away, he called it a son of a bitch. It was glorious.

Chris' luck was no better with Matt, as The Broken One made it clear that he was in AEW only to repay a debt he owed to the "Bucks of Youth," and had no interested in joining any faction. Their confrontation ended in traded shots, before Sammy Guevara, Cody and Kenny Omega interrupted and kept things at bay with steel chairs.

Hardy's "Broken" persona does seem to be a little more unhinged, dangerous, and closer to the original concept we saw in TNA than WWE's watered down version. It's still utterly ridiculous, of course, but that's part of what makes it so entertaining.
