The first-ever episode of AEW Rampage kicked off with Kenny Omega defending the IMPACT World Championship against Christian Cage. It was an exciting bout, and one that saw Omega take advantage of the referee being distracted by Don Callis to hit the low blow on his opponent.
The Young Bucks slid a chair to Omega, but before he could use that, Christian reverse and hit the Killswitch on that to score the 1-2-3 and take one of Omega's championship titles!
Cage will be part of this week's upcoming IMPACT Wrestling tapings, while he's still set to challenge Omega for the AEW World Championship at All Out. This was a stacked premiere episode of AEW Rampage, and even though Fuego Del Sol was unable to dethrone TNT Champion Miro, he has been signed to the company and is officially "All Elite" now.
Dr. Britt Baker also retained her title, while a new-look Jamie Hayter would later return to AEW to help the company's Women's World Champion deliver a beating to Red Velvet and Kris Statlander.
