Dustin Rhodes will get his first singles championship opportunity on Wednesday.

The former WWE Intercontinental Champion is coming off a huge win over The Dark Order (Brodie Lee, Stu Grayson, Evil Uno, and Colt Cabana) at All Out that has earned him a TNT Championship match against Lee on the next episode of AEW Dynamite.

This comes off the heels of Mr. Brodie Lee getting a squash victory over Cody Rhodes on the August 13th edition of AEW Dynamite. Following the shocking dominance of Lee, the newly crowned TNT Champion continued his vicious assault that has put a question mark on the future of the inaugural TNT Champion’s career.

This Wednesday, Dustin has a chance to not only get revenge for his fallen brother, but to also win his first championship in All Elite Wrestling. The 51-year-old is no stranger to being a singles title holder as Rhodes is a former three-time Intercontinental Champion. He’s also won the Hardcore Championship on nine separate occasions. Will he add the TNT Championship to his resume?

Thus far, this is the only confirmed match-up for the upcoming episode. AEW World Champion Jon Moxley is scheduled to make an appearance.
