Kenny Omega had one heck of a run as AEW World Heavyweight Champion, but it's no secret that he's been dealing with nagging injuries. Dave Meltzer has previously reported that he was determined to finish the storyline with Hangman Adam Page before undergoing any medical evaluations, and now he's lost the title, it sounds like those will take place today prior to AEW Dynamite

According to PW Insider, "Omega may be out for an extended period of time from in-ring action as he’s likely looking at shoulder surgery."

Believe it or not, despite delivering a phenomenal match with Page at AEW Full Gear, Omega went into that pretty much unable to use his shoulders. He's also been battling Vertigo for the past few years, and has been forced to adapt to that during his matches.

Shoulder surgery can be serious, and it does likely mean Omega would be gone for a while. He's had a manic year, wrestling for AEW, AAA, and IMPACT Wrestling. Prior to that, he worked a busy schedule in NJPW and on the indies, so chances are any sort of surgeries are long overdue for Omega.

Needless to say, we'll be sure to keep you updated so keep checking back here for the latest.

Hope everything goes well for him,he is my favourite wrestler in AEW. I want him to be 100% healthy when he takes on again Bryan Danielson and CM Punk.

He does deserve some time off,I am sure Adam Cole would be able to step up to lead the elite.
