AEW has really stacked up the sixth anniversary show!
For the first time in nearly two months, former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega returns to action. The reason Omega was out was due to a heinous assault from the Don Callis Family. The faction wanted to make a statement and took out Omega as a result.
It’s now been confirmed that Omega has a chance at revenge on Dynamite as he’ll team with the AEW World Tag Team Champions Bandido and Brody King to take on Josh Alexander and his former Elite brothers, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson of The Young Bucks.
Originally, Kyle Fletcher was supposed to defend the TNT Championship against Hologram. It was billed as Streak vs. Title. Unfortunately, Hologram suffered an injury on Collision and will no longer compete on the anniversary show. Instead, the returning Orange Cassidy will take his place.
This comes a week after Cassidy made his return and got a huge victory over The Don Callis Family’s Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita, and Hecichero. This will be Cassidy’s first title match since World’s End in 2024. That time, he challenged Jon Moxley for the AEW World title alongside Hangman Page and Jay White; Moxley managed to successfully retain his title at the pay-per-view.
In addition, former AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm will make her grand return after her shocking loss at All Out! She won’t be competing as Storm is being advertised to speak for the first time since dropping the belt.
Check out the confirmed line-up for the huge show on Wednesday:
