Could Lance Archer be on his way to AEW?

With all the rumors surrounding former Impact World Champion Brian Cage going to the all-new promotion, numerous sources have been reporting that former IWGP United States Champion Lance Archer could be on his way to AEW as well.

According to Sports Illustrated, the New Japan Pro Wrestling star is currently in major talks to join the company. Archer had a break out year in 2019, as the Texas native really opened eyes during NJPW’s G1 Climax tournament.

The 42-year-old has been wrestling for nearly two decades, with his previous stints being in TNA/Impact Wrestling, WWE, and other independent promotions. At the moment, Archer is still competing in New Japan, as he is scheduled for the company’s tour of the United States, which began Friday in Tampa and runs through Feb. 1 in Atlanta.
