Matt Sydal is All Elite.
AEW announced that the former X-Division Champion has signed a deal with the promotion, though the exact terms of his contract remain disclosed. Sydal originally made his AEW debut as a surprise entrant at All Out during the Casino Battle Royale and has been on both Dark and Dynamite.
The 37-year-old commented on signing a deal with AEW:
Sydal is most notable for his time in Ring of Honor, where he held the ROH World Tag Team Titles with Christopher Daniels during his first stint. The Missouri native made his return to the company in 2014 and competed in both ROH and NJPW, with Sydal winning the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Titles twice with Ricochet.
Sydal last competed with the company in the Pure Championship Tournament; He advanced into the semi-finals by beating Delirious, but lost to Jonathan Gresham. The veteran also competed in WWE (where he is a former WWE Tag Team Champion alongside Kofi Kingston), Impact Wrestling, and Dragon Gate.
