The former Tegan Nox has made her AEW debut.

This past Saturday, a recognizable face was in a backstage segment with Anna Jay and Tay Conti. The duo were talking about the upcoming AEW Women’s Tag Team title tournament until Nixon Newell (aka Tegan Nox) and Miranda Alize interrupted their promo.

It was pretty much an introduction to the new tag team that ended with Jay and Conti challenging them to a match after the rude interruption. Newell and Alize accepted.

Newell made her debut in the second Mae Young Classic. The former Tegan Nox was reportedly set to win the women’s tournament, but she suffered a torn ACL that forced her out of action for a year. Though Nox was signed full time after the Mae Young Classic, she couldn’t get any momentum going as she suffered quite a bit of injuries that stopped her from getting a serious push. She was ultimately released in 2021.

However, Triple H brought her back a year later and she briefly teamed with Natalya. Unfortunately, that didn’t last long as Nox’s time on television soon reverted to Main Event and dark matches. Tegan's last televised match was on RAW in a six woman tag team match with Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark against Damage CTRL (Asuka, Dakota Kai & Kairi Sane) back in January 2024. Nox was released in November 2024.

Since her release, Newell has been working hard to get rid of the stigma that she’s injury prone. For the most part, she’s worked throughout most of 2025 on the indie scene, though that was only as a solo act.

Alize has worked in AEW in the past. She notably had matches against Dr. Britt Baker and Nyla Rose, but Alize has mainly worked as enhancement talent who put over other stars. Trained by the one and only Booker T, Miranda has been wrestling for eleven years and is a solo act for the most part. It’s not clear if Newell and Alize have signed any deals with AEW, though if they put on a strong showing against Jay and Conti then there’s a high chance that they’ll be all elite. The tag team match between all four women has yet to be confirmed, though the match will likely take place on Collision this Saturday.
