It appears Jade Cargill's time in AEW is nearing its end. The former TBS Champion made her surprise return to the company during this past weekend's episode of AEW Collision, but it appears that might have been a one-and-done appearance from the previously undefeated pro wrestler.

During the show, she squared off with Kris Statlander as part of AEW's Rampage tapings. However, the belief now is that Cargill plans on making the leap to WWE.

AEW pushed her as a big star from the beginning, with an undefeated streak which lasted from 2020 until earlier this year when she was defeated by Statlander at Double or Nothing. There have been rumblings she's unhappy in AEW for a while now and the company always felt like a stepping stone to WWE for her.

It's widely believed her contract with AEW will end in November and that could mean she's free in time for next year's Royal Rumble

Then again, is there a chance Khan will find a way to get Cargill to change her mind? During a recent interview, she called him a "phenomenal boss," adding: "I can literally hit him up now and he will probably hit me back up in three minutes. And this is a man who owns four companies, like a professional soccer team, Jacksonville Jaguars, he’s busy, he literally comes to every show”

"He is so passionate," she added. "He loves our company, you know, there’s no other place I would want to be. He doesn’t look at me as a number. He looks at me like a human being. And he knows my journey and he understands my purpose in the wrestling community and what I want to achieve, and I don’t think you can beat that."

It doesn't sound like there's any bad blood there, anyway, and during the same interview, Cargill reflected on what it meant to be a Black champion in pro wrestling.

"It means it’s the world. I’m here to inspire little girls and little boys that they can do any and everything. I’m the example and I want them to do nothing but be great and be that much better than me."

"There’s nothing that’s gonna stop me from becoming nothing but a household name and a great. So it feels phenomenal that our fans want me back. I mean, why wouldn’t they? Who else is like Jade Cargill? Nobody."

The best way to become a household name, Jade? Head to WWE...
