Jake Hager Will Face Jon Moxley In A No Holds Barred Match For The AEW Championship In Two Weeks

We knew this was coming, but not quite so soon! This week on Dynamite, it was announced that The Inner Circle's Jake Hager will get a shot at Jon Moxley's title in two weeks time in a no-holds barred match.

It's official: Jake Hager will get his shot at Jon Moxley's AEW Championship in two weeks time. Last night on Dynamite, it was announced that the two would face-off in a No Holds Barred Match.

Mox and Hager have been on a collision course ever since Big Hurt was instrumental in taking the one-time Dean Ambrose out and setting up that devastating power-bomb off the stage. Since then, both men have made beelines for one another, with Hager getting the final say on AEW Dark this past Tuesday when he choked the champ out.

This no DQ stipulation arguably favors Mox, but Hager will obviously have backup in the form of the Inner Circle, giving him a major advantage (as if he needed one).

Could we see a new AEW Champion? It seems unlikely that the powers that be would cut Moxley's run so short, but you never know. Hager holding the title sets up many future angles, including a potential turn and feud with a jealous Chris Jericho.
